ESX 3.5 on Dell T605
This one is a quick one
When trying to install ESX 3.5 (any builds up to current including the most current as of November 6 2008) on a Dell T605 (which is listed but unsupported)
We have had good luck using these as "Mobile" ESX hosts for migration purposes we ran across one issue that has yet to be resolved.
ESX does not recognize its SATA cd drive, it boots but then prompts for driver installation. We got it to work by disabling the SATA port for the CDrom and installing from a USB drive. But even after install and updates (or building from current) the drives are not usable by ESX
It seems like giving up but the rest of the hardware works fine
