NEW News

- Legislation: Bills 1127 and 1094 have passed! HOWEVER due to the wording used in these bills, OHV's *Should* still be able to use spider lake and other previously “shut-down” land.

- OFFICER NOMINATIONS completed in July, ELECTIONS in August.

- Last MN4WDA meeting, there were only 19 members present. The meeting is in golden valley on the 4 th Monday of every month. Contact bon if you are interested in riding down to attend. (All are welcome)

- Bon Needs volunteers for the Hay-days event that takes place in Lino lakes the weekend after labor day ( September 9 th and 10 th )

- Mn -Outback was already asked back for next year's memorial run out in dresser WI. Club will vote during August meeting weather to participate or not (as a club).

- The Haydays event weekend after labor day will have up to 3x the wheeling room.

- The Virginia trail is supposed to be done in 2009. Not much NEW news on the table

- Go-4's have officially invited everyone back for workers weekend. If you attended, July 20-22 is the workers party.

- D.O.T inspections: *Should* be able to call and have an inspector come out to a location and check a group of vehicles for free. May be a good idea to avoid future last minute problems.

Old News:

- MOAB as a whole may also be shut down due to the Federal Government. A good way to keep up to date on current open trails is to visit www.4x4trails.org

-In October, the MW4WDA Has planned to have its fall convention in Red-Wing. The convention MAY have wheeling area.

-The MN house and senate are considering stopping wheeling on private land also within the next few years. On this note, please register ALL OHV's as well as tow rigs.

-In South East Minnesota, there is a possibility of getting a 280+ acre piece of land where members of the MN4WDAcan use if they are willing to go down there to cut trees.

- www.dnr.state.mn.us/input/mgmtplans/ohv/plans/index.html is the web address we are to go to in order to submit positive information regarding our hobby. ( unsure if this page is working yet)
